At age 21, Cloud Strife leads the life of a mercenary for hire. Though his background talents include that of an ex-SOLDIER from Shinra's elite fighting squad, he was breed from the small town of Nibelheim. From this small hometown he was childhood friend to Tifa Lockheart, a girl that he developed a secretive soft spot for. Question is if that spot is still present when Cloud joins the rebel group of AVALANCHE to help her defeat the company he once worked for. After their first strike against one of Shinra's huge Mako Reactors that suround the city of Midgar, Cloud is mixed into the plot of not only saving the world but finding out what happened seven years ago. The day that the 'accident' took place.

Barret Wallace
Barret is the 35 year old leader of the rebel team known as a gang of tree huggers, but more commonly called AVALANCHE. Coming into contact with Cloud on his first mission for AVALNCHE, you get the impression that Barret is short tempered and not the best person to piss off. His mechanical right arm also gives off this vibe. Coming from the town of Corel, Barret hides his past of Shinra betrayal with the image of his daughter Marlene. His motives unclear but most believe that Shinra was somehow responsible for the death of his wife. Only a desert prison will tell...

Tifa Lockheart 
Running the bar of Seventh Heaven, mixed Tifa into the group of AVALANCHE upon metting Barret. Though her roots gripped Nibelheim in place as Cloud's childhood friend, the two parted ways only to re-meet in an act to destroy Shinra. With Cloud leaving Tifa alone, her parents death sounded her departure to Midgar. Having her mother die at a young age, she was scared not only on her heart but her body as well. In a rage of emotion Tifa cased up Mt. Nibel to recover her mother upon hearing of the death and took a drop she'll never forget. If it wasn't for her superhero Cloud, she wouldn't be fighting in AVALANCHE. After that fall she bound herself to Cloud in a promise of rescue, so far he has yet to fufill.

Meeting someone in an experiment isn't the best way to start off a relationship, but this fiery red animal has no problem saving the starnge AVALANCHE team. In fact animal is an insult to his intellect, as it's well above that of a normal human. After his first hit-and-run with AVALANCHE, Red decides to tag along until the team reaches his home of Cosmo Canyon. Upon arrival however; with a quick game of maze, he sticks with AVALANCHE to help protect the Ancient and the planet, all to make up for his coward of a father. Not much more is known about him. A true enigma.

With a life locked away in Hojo's test tubes not much is known about Sephiroth other then what his fellow SOLDIER's can give. Among those that knew the General best was 1st class SOLDIER Zack. Having died in a mysterious accident both Sephiroth and Zack were wipped away from the planet along with anyone else that new about what happened at Nibelheim.

Trapped away in the Shinra Mansion, this dark presence tortures himself for past Sins with eternal sleep... or maybe somehting else is torturing him? With past connections to Shinra as an ex-Turk, his curoisity and love take him to track down Sephiroth with AVALANCHE. Vincent mostly keeps to himself but he should never be left out of any fight with his inner monsters fueling his attacks. With cruel experiments playing his strenghth and a woman playing his mind, Vincent is a gental soul beaten by the Chaos.

Cid Highwind

He aborted a launch to save her life and now spends his days trying to repair his inoperable rocket in the hopes that Shinra may one day give him another shot at his dreams. Joining up with AVALANCHE in a meeting of Shinra's Palmer trying to steal his pride and joy, The Tiny Bronco, you crash the plane and he decides nothings left for him in Rocket Town and blasts off with you.

Fighting for not only her freedom from Shinra but what she holds most dear. Coming from Hojo's test labs, Aeris's foster mom Elmyra speaks of the girls mysterious powers and in turn how Shinra has been keeping their eye on her. Though she is skilled in the art of magic she spends most of her time picking at the love triangle between herself, Cloud, and Tifa.

With the pressure of her father and the young girl fleeing from the dieing nation, what’s Yuffie really after in the AVALANCHE gang?

Using that excuse, he eagerly joins the group to see if his predictions come true, or is he up to something else?
